‘Petite Pineapple’

Part of a series of paintings of significant and iconic plants from Knowsley Hall and across the Liverpool region.

The paintings will be exhibited in 2026. Limited edition giclee prints are available.

One of my all-time favourite subjects to paint and a nod to Knowsley Hall’s historic greenhouse cultivations.

This painting was selected to be exhibited in the ‘Royal Society of British Artists’ exhibition.

There will be some limited edition prints available.

Capability Brown’s account books also mention ” a new kitchen garden” and by the early 19thc there were also  several conservatories and stoves, including a large collection of pineapples. The pineapple harvest and cropping methods were reported on by Gardeners Chronicle in 1844.
